About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Freight Forwarding Division Manager to lead our export documentation team in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of processing and generating export documentation, including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Export Certificates, Phytosanitary certificates, Precool Certificates, Letters of Credit, Customs Export entries, Cargo dues, etc. They will be responsible for designing and implementing the freight forwarding workflow process, contracting service providers, and coordinating with Operations, Cost Accounting, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage export documentation workflow process design and implementation
- Contract service providers
- Coordinate cross divisional collaboration
- Provide document status reports
- Implement financial control measures
Requirements
- Strong understanding of export and import documentation requirements and protocols for all countries from and to which South Africa exports its products
- Proven hands-on operational management and problem-solving skills
- Experience in freight forwarding or a related field is an asset
Qualifications
- Formal Training in export forwarding and clearing processes and compliance to SARS requirements
- Training in Incoterms / trading terms
