About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in data analysis to join our team at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and recommendations for business improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business optimization.
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into data and reporting solutions.
- Utilize your expertise in T-SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Work closely with the development team to design and implement data solutions, including data warehouses and data marts.
- Provide support and guidance to business users in utilizing data analysis tools and platforms effectively.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analysis methodologies and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a business analysis role.
- Experience in Salesforce, T-SQL
- Knowledge and experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and database design concepts.
- Experience with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to extract insights from large and complex datasets.
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
