About the Role

Fempower Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Contracting Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for translating complex procurement requirements into contract terms and conditions, ensuring that benefits are realized through the delivery of a watertight and cost-effective contracting capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate once-off, call-off and multiyear complex procurement requirements into contract terms and conditions.
  • Lead and execute all aspects related to the establishment and management of contracts for a portfolio of contracts in the complex contracting category, including contract negotiations.
  • Ensure that existing contracts remain valid with respect to changes in Sasol’s internal and external environment.
  • Pre-empt / identify, evaluate, and manage all potential contractual problems, issues, and risks within the project contracting portfolio.
  • Embed contracts and monitor performance to ensure benefits realisation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates commercial acumen, a global mind-set and exercises sound judgement.
  • Ability to measure contract performance against expected category opportunities.
  • Proven track record of minimising number of contractual breaches for which Sasol is financially liable, or which would negatively affect Sasol’s reputation.
