About the Role
The Data Scientist position is a critical component of our AI & Machine Learning Strategy, responsible for leading the development and implementation of JD Groups’ AI/ML application roadmap. This role requires a strong expertise in AI/ML strategy and implementation, as well as experience with AWS AI/ML platforms and cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI/ML application roadmap
- Lead migration of legacy analytics to AWS cloud-native AI/ML platforms
- Design and maintain standards for open-source AI/ML algorithm usage
- Orchestrate ML Ops toolchains and automate ML workflows
- Data Science Leadership & Capability Development
- Design and deliver data science training programmes
- Conduct skills gap assessments and build team capabilities
- Drive innovation in predictive modelling and decision intelligence
- Technical Implementation
- Apply modern software development best practices for scalable analytics
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and organisational standards
Requirements
- Strong expertise in AI/ML strategy and implementation
- Experience with AWS AI/ML platforms and cloud-native solutions
- Proficiency in ML Ops orchestration and workflow automation
- Advanced knowledge of open-source AI/ML algorithms and standards
- Ability to lead training and capability development initiatives
Qualifications
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in AI/ML strategy and implementation. Experience in cloud environments and modern software development practices.
