About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front of House Operations Manager to join our upmarket restaurant in Cape Town. As the face of our front-of-house operations, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless customer experiences, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage large teams and large menus in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure efficient operations during peak hours (8am to 10pm, 7 days a week)
- Implement COS principles and cost management strategies to optimize profitability
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with the General Manager to implement brand-building initiatives
- Work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve targets
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in junior to middle management in an upmarket hotel and/or restaurant environment
- Experience with large operations, large menus, and large staff complements
- Proven customer focus and ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Strong logical thinking skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
- Good wine and spirit knowledge
- Own transport and willingness to work long hours at a fast pace

- Matric (or equivalent)
