Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Manage debtors and ensure timely collections. Oversee creditors and vendor payments. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records. Process and authorize payments. Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc analyses as required. Maintain compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations. Required Qualifications & Experience: B.Comm Accounting degree (or equivalent). A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading financial analysis and modelling, developing and reviewing financial policies and procedures, and exploring AI tools to enhance analysis and automate daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accruals
  • Reconciliations
  • Performing financial analysis and modelling
  • Developing, reviewing, and maintaining financial policies and procedures
  • Exploring AI tools to enhance analysis and automate daily tasks

Requirements

  • BCom degree completed
  • SAIPA/SAICA articles completed
  • 3 years post article experience
  • Experience with policies and procedures
  • Proficient in Excel (PivotTables and VLOOKUPS)
