Job Description
Hire Resolve, a renowned recruitment agency, is currently seeking a talented and motivated Quantity Surveyor for a property development company. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects and contribute to the success of the construction industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing costs, preparing estimates and budgets, analysing contracts, and providing accurate quantity calculations. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Prepare details to complete tender documents
- Prepare and price bills of quantities for contracts based on drawings and specifications
- Prepare Bills of Quantities and other tender documentation for fair and equitable tenders
- Prepare feasibility studies and budgets for proposed projects
- Negotiate building contracts
- Complete tender documents
- Arrange necessary guarantees on projects as required
- Assist and/or prepare construction programs
- Prepare project cash flow forecasts
- Liaise with and maintain good relations with clients, site managers, and subcontractors
- Draft contract documents
- Prepare subcontractor payment advice and reconciliations for interim payments
- Prepare subcontractor final accounts with reference to final valuations
- Prepare monthly interim valuations/claims for submission to clients, accounting for all variations and additional work
- Monitor costs to ensure contracts perform according to budgets
- Ensure supplier costs align with budgetary allowances
- Monitor costs and report to clients during the design and construction phases of projects
- Assist the site manager in controlling project costs
- Apply to the architect or client for confirmation of verbal instructions issued on site
- Document design changes and update budgets
- Identify and escalate discrepancies between budgets and actual costs to the Managing Director immediately
- Advise on contractual matters impacting project performance
- Determine final costs of projects
- Prepare final cost reports on overall performance of completed projects
- Ensure all tasks and duties are executed and completed in strict accordance with company ISO standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and technologies
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
