Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 

  • Applicants should be post-matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture, with at least 3 years’ experience in the cultivation of citrus and/or avocados
  • Knowledge of modern production practices
  • Specific knowledge/ experience in irrigation practices will be to your advantage
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)

 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
 

  • Production: Plant, schedule irrigation, apply fertilizer, pest, plague and weed control, prune, harvest, monitoring, all manipulations
  • Personnel and administration: Labor planning and management, recordkeeping, plan transport and accommodation, maintenance (equipment / orchards / general)
  • Financial: Cost control by focusing on productivity
