A well-established organisation based in JHB East is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 2–3 years post-articles experience, looking to gain hands-on exposure in financial accounting, reporting, and operational finance. Experience in manufacturing, retail, or logistics will be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will take ownership of key finance functions, including SARS submissions, fixed assets, and creditors reconciliations, while contributing to accurate reporting and smooth operations. Experience with Sage is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger entries
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Handle SARS submissions and fixed asset management
• Reconcile creditors and support month-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls

Skills and Experience:

• Qualification: BCom + Articles
• Experience: 2–3 years post-articles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory reporting
• Experience with creditors reconciliations, fixed assets, and SARS submissions
• Sage experience preferred
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven
• Good communication and organisational skills
