About the Role
A prominent JSE-listed organisation within the Automotive sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager on a 6-month contract within its Motor division. The successful candidate will have strong analytical capability, sound commercial insight, and demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction to the finance team by setting clear goals and objectives, while mentoring and developing team members to achieve high performance.
- Month-End & General Ledger Management: Oversee and review the General Ledger, approve journal entries, open new accounts, and ensure efficient and timely month-end processes.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Review and approve reconciliations, confirm supporting documentation is complete, and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure adherence to reporting deadlines, review management accounts for accuracy and compliance, and maintain alignment with Hyperion reporting requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting : Lead the preparation of annual budgets and manage ongoing forecast updates.
- Banking & Payments: Review and approve debtor and creditor applications, reconciliations, and ad-hoc payments, and authorise transactions where required.
Requirements
- Completed BCom degree or equivalent qualification
- CIMA qualification advantageous
