About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic couple to join our team as Lodge Manager / Hospitality Partners, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and managing all aspects of lodge operations. As a couple, you will work together to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and provide personalized, warm, and engaging experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle check-ins, special requests, dietary requirements, and complaints
- Create memorable experiences (romantic setups, bush dinners, celebrations)
- Lead, train, and manage lodge staff (housekeeping, F&B, maintenance)
- Conduct performance management and staff development
- Maintain staff morale and team culture
- Coordinate with chefs on menus and dietary needs
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Manage budgets, cost controls, and reporting
- Handle reservations, occupancy, and guest billing
- Ensure rooms and public areas meet luxury standards
- Conduct routine inspections
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs
- Entertain guests during meals, around the fire, and during activities
- Manage daily schedules (game drives, meals, activities)
- Handle emergencies, guest complaints, and operational issues efficiently
Requirements
- Guide Partner FGASA Level 1/2 (minimum), Trails Guide advantageous
- Valid PDP & drivers license
- First Aid certification
- Strong bush knowledge (fauna, flora, birding)
Qualifications
- Lodge Manager Partner Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management
