About the Role
A leading chemical manufacturing operation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Chemical Plant Operator to join the team. This role focuses on the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and processes, ensuring high-quality chemical production while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor chemical plant equipment, machinery, and processes in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct regular inspections, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Monitor chemical reactions, temperatures, pressures, and flows to ensure product consistency.
- Maintain accurate production logs, reports, and documentation.
- Follow safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and reporting any incidents.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize plant efficiency and process improvements.
Requirements
Knowledge of chemical processes, plant equipment, and safety standards. Previous experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or industrial plant environment preferred. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or chemical engineering certification is a plus.
