About the Role
The Facilities Assistant will provide essential support to the facilities team, ensuring the smooth operation of our building infrastructure and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general facilities infrastructure
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and general repairs
- Ensure equipment and systems are operating efficiently and safely
- Monitor, coordinate, and inspect work completed by external contractors
- Assist with sourcing and liaising with contractors where required
- Test and maintain security and safety systems within the facility
- Report maintenance issues, completed tasks, and ongoing work requirements
- Health & Safety Compliance: assist with maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
- Support risk assessments and the implementation of safety procedures and emergency protocols
- Promote a safe and compliant working environment
Requirements
- Qualifications: Higher Certificate in Plumbing and/or Electrical
- Experience: Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, estates, or building support role
- Exposure to health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Gardening and grounds maintenance experience advantageous
