About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team, responsible for managing the day-to-day financial functions and transactions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Full accounting function and management of the day-to-day financial functions and transactions
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Monthly financial reporting
- Inventory Management
- Statutory returns and company secretarial work
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
- Debtors and creditors management
- Preparation of audit files
- Liaising with external auditors / accountants
- Liaising with external accounting software vendors (preferable Odoo experience)
- Review and implementation of internal controls
- Personnel management, including traveling to production units
- Continuous evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance
- SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA articles / trainee contract advantageous
- At least 2 years accounting experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Availability for occasional travel
