About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team, responsible for managing the day-to-day financial functions and transactions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full accounting function and management of the day-to-day financial functions and transactions
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Inventory Management
  • Statutory returns and company secretarial work
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Debtors and creditors management
  • Preparation of audit files
  • Liaising with external auditors / accountants
  • Liaising with external accounting software vendors (preferable Odoo experience)
  • Review and implementation of internal controls
  • Personnel management, including traveling to production units
  • Continuous evaluation and improvement of financial systems and processes

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance
  • SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA articles / trainee contract advantageous
  • At least 2 years accounting experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Availability for occasional travel
