About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and programming control software and systems, as well as supporting software verification, validation, and prototype testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and program control software and systems
  • Support software verification, validation, and prototype testing
  • Perform control system design and algorithm optimisation
  • Work with J1939 CAN communication systems and test equipment
  • Prepare technical documentation and test reports
  • Support model-based design and software development activities
  • Collaborate within a fast-paced engineering environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in controller programming and control system design
  • MATLAB/Simulink experience advantageous
  • Knowledge of J1939 CAN communication protocols
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with software testing and documentation
  • Exposure to AI-enabled engineering tools beneficial
