About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant/Tax Practitioner to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax, with a proven track record of managing complex financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors)
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements
  • Prepare and submit tax returns (Individuals, Companies, and Trusts)
  • Ensure compliance with SARS regulations and deadlines
  • Administer Trust accounts, including:
  • Trust financial statements
  • Beneficiary allocations and distributions
  • Trust tax compliance and submissions
  • Liaise with clients and provide professional support
  • Assist with audits and year-end processes
  • Maintain proper filing systems and supporting documentation

Requirements

  • Relevant Accounting qualification (Diploma or Degree)
  • Registered Tax Practitioner (essential)
  • 12 years experience in an accounting firm or similar environment
  • Proven experience with Trusts (essential)
  • Strong understanding of tax compliance and SARS processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
