Howick: Junior Bookkeeper

We are seeking a Junior Bookkeeper with a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the finance and administrative function of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, stock processing, and general administrative support. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting experience in a practical, hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities Process and issue customer invoices accurately and timeously Capture and reconcile stock records, including stock weight slips Assist with strategic purchasing of operational items (e.g. packaging and cleaning materials) Perform basic bookkeeping functions including data capture and reconciliations Support VAT-related processing and ensure compliance requirements are met Maintain accurate financial and administrative records Provide general administrative support to the finance and operations teams Minimum Requirements Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles Sound knowledge of VAT Experience working with Sage Accounting software Proficient in Microsoft Excel Good numerical ability and attention to detail Personal Attributes Organised and methodical approach to work Strong accuracy and time-management skills Willingness to learn and develop bookkeeping skills Able to work independently and as part of a team
