About the Role
The Business Solutions Support Analyst plays a crucial role in defining business needs and requirements, compiling functional specifications, and overseeing the implementation of new solutions for the department. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and guide the implementation and change management of new solutions, enhancements, and upgrades to existing systems.
- Maintain the master data on department domestic systems to ensure its integrity.
- Guide and manage system testing, verify testing results against defined test-case criteria, and provide ad hoc training.
- Provide guidance and oversight for externally provided training and support on functional system changes.
- Establish and maintain relevant stakeholder relationships and represent the department at industry forums.
- Participate in ad-hoc business systems and market participant projects.
- Stay abreast of business/market changes and apply them in own work.
- Maintain policy changes on the system.
- Identify risks in own area and assist in their mitigation.
- Monitor and facilitate the timely resolution of all systems-related issues reported by Department users and other external users.
- Manage the incident management process and provide development support for efficient service delivery.
Requirements
- A Bachelor degree (NQF 7) in Finance/Banking or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience.
- Five to seven years of relevant work experience as a Systems Analyst, with at least three years of work experience in a treasury, capital, or financial markets environment.
- Good knowledge of capital or financial markets value chains, role players, and processes.
