About the Role
A career opportunity exists at Reinhardt Transport Group’s RTG Technical Services, Komatipoort (Amalgamated Bulk), for a skilled Trailer Technician. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team and provide technical support for our trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily services to trailers as per the OEM specifications in addition to running the repairs that will come in from time to time.
- Attend to breakdowns on trailers when required.
- Inspect trailers before/after work is performed and also carry out daily quality checks (known as 15-minute checks).
- Complete job cards with correct information as per the job instruction issued.
- Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section by quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with the ISO standard.
- Responsible for timely prioritisation of all operational requests, recognising technical deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the workshop manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in this specific field.
- Must have welding experience.
- Valid drivers licence (applicants without a valid driver’s licence will not be considered).
- Own vehicle required to travel from home to work.
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans.
