About the Role

We are seeking a Reservationist with high-end safari or luxury hospitality background to join our team at a Luxury Private Game Reserve in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be energetic and friendly, and possess a positive and professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making reservations for groups and preparing rate proposals
  • Ensuring accurate records about guests’ bookings, payments, and additional information
  • Answering reservations calls to up-sell special packages or higher room categories
  • Assisting and maintaining an efficient administration system within the department
  • Managing room blocks and group bookings of all sizes
  • Actively seeking and resolving guest complaints
  • Informing other departments and following up on special instructions/facilities
  • Establishing and quoting rates within authorized negotiation limits
  • Assisting with booking transfers, outlet requests, and reservations for dinners
  • Reporting rate and system discrepancies to the Reservations Manager and overbookings
  • Sending invoices, credit card payment links, and following up on payments
  • Ensuring accurate and detailed capturing of bookings
  • Managing guest feedback to necessary departments
  • Processing reservations correctly via telephonic, email, and online channels
  • Recording and allocating reservations vouchers accurately

Requirements

  • Matric
  • A formal qualification
  • At least 4 years of central reservations experience
  • Previous hospitality experience required
  • PMS systems experience
  • Quality-focused
  • Great communication skills (written and verbal)
