About the Role
We are seeking a Reservationist with high-end safari or luxury hospitality background to join our team at a Luxury Private Game Reserve in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be energetic and friendly, and possess a positive and professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Making reservations for groups and preparing rate proposals
- Ensuring accurate records about guests’ bookings, payments, and additional information
- Answering reservations calls to up-sell special packages or higher room categories
- Assisting and maintaining an efficient administration system within the department
- Managing room blocks and group bookings of all sizes
- Actively seeking and resolving guest complaints
- Informing other departments and following up on special instructions/facilities
- Establishing and quoting rates within authorized negotiation limits
- Assisting with booking transfers, outlet requests, and reservations for dinners
- Reporting rate and system discrepancies to the Reservations Manager and overbookings
- Sending invoices, credit card payment links, and following up on payments
- Ensuring accurate and detailed capturing of bookings
- Managing guest feedback to necessary departments
- Processing reservations correctly via telephonic, email, and online channels
- Recording and allocating reservations vouchers accurately
Requirements
- Matric
- A formal qualification
- At least 4 years of central reservations experience
- Previous hospitality experience required
- PMS systems experience
- Quality-focused
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
