About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Middelburg, where you will play a key role in shaping financial strategy and operations for our leading property management company. As a member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Monitor performance vs. budgets and provide actionable insights
- Develop financial models to support strategic business decisions
- Oversee month-end processes for the group and related entities
- Prepare accurate management accounts and annual financial statements (IFRS/GAAP)
- Ensure compliance with SARS, VAT, PAYE, ITA, Companies Act, and coordinate audits
- Manage daily and long-term cash flow planning
- Oversee banking activities and working capital management
- Ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls
- Identify risks and implement mitigation measures
- Manage insurance portfolio, audits, renewals, and claims
Requirements
- BCom Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- Professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA) preferred
- At least 10 years experience in financial management, preferably in industrial property or commercial property management
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax legislation, and financial controls
- Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system proficiency (e.g., Xero, SAP)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
