About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Recruitment Consultant to launch and grow a dedicated US legal recruitment desk, with full ownership and direct financial reward. As a fully remote role (Anywhere in SA), you will work flexible hours of 1pm to 10pm / 2pm to 11pm SA times (US market). Your primary focus will be on building and growing your own US-focused legal recruitment function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proven recruitment experience within the legal sector, with exposure to the US market
  • Build a US legal client base through proactive business development and market mapping
  • Establish your own niche across practice areas, locations, or talent types
  • Own the full 360 recruitment lifecycle from client acquisition to placement and account growth
  • Source and manage high-calibre legal professionals across permanent and contract hiring
  • Create and execute a desk strategy focused on revenue generation and market penetration
  • Operate in US time zones, managing the process end-to-end with accountability for performance

Requirements

  • Proven recruitment experience within the legal sector, with exposure to the US market
  • Strong billing history and confidence in winning new business
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build structure, pipeline, and relationships from scratch
  • Comfortable operating as a self-directed desk owner rather than a delivery-only recruiter

Salary & Benefits

R35 000 plus 30% flat fee
