Job Description

About the Role

A well-established company in the East Rand is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive finance professional to prepare accurate financial reports, manage fixed assets, and oversee branch expenses.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate financial reports and statements in line with IFRS
Manage fixed assets, debtors, and creditors
Perform payment and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee stock control and stock reconciliations
Maintain and manage the general ledger
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly journals
Monitor branch expenses and financial efficiency
Oversee branch risk management processes
Review vehicle stock counts
Monitor parts and workshop cash sales
Support junior finance staff
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes

Requirements

* BCom Degree in Accounting (or similar)

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the motor industry

* Valid Code 8 Driver’s License
