About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead our engineering department in Pretoria. The successful candidate will have a strong background in design and engineering, with a proven track record of delivering projects and systems. They will be responsible for providing technical input and guidance to ensure that client requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the engineering department and overseeing project delivery
- Providing technical input in Material Review Board, Corrective Action Board, and Maintenance Review Board meetings
- Chairing the Internal Safety Review Board and Oversea System Hazard Assessment Process
- Compiling and reviewing Certificate for Flight Trials and Safety Case Report
- Appraising and interpreting client requirements to ensure that technical, regulatory, and commercial aspects are delivered on each project
Requirements
- B ING/BSc degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Postgraduate qualification will be an advantage
- 10 years plus experience in Design and Engineering
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
- Demonstrable experience in leading an engineering department with a proven track record in strategic engineering leadership
- Demonstrable experience in Systems Engineering and Configuration Management
- Familiarity with Airworthiness and Certification compliance will be an advantage
