About the Role
Our client in the FMCG Industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production department within the factory, ensuring high-quality products are produced while maintaining optimal productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking charge of the production department within the factory
- Producing high quality products for our customers
- Understanding and improving production processes within the department
- Forward planning and general admin
- Staff management and optimal productivity and efficiency
- Achieving and improving on set production targets
- Daily stock taking, stock rotation and management of electronic stock system.
- Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and HACCP
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Preparing for various monthly and annual audits
- Cost control management to comply with departmental budget
- Daily report back to senior manager and weekly/monthly formal reports
- Following maintenance schedules, some physical maintenance work to be conducted
- Managing crisis situations within the department, like breakdowns
Requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills
- Excellent electrical, technical, and mechanical skills
- Good communication skills
- Honest and trustworthy
- Excellent computing and recordkeeping skills
- Leadership skills with an ability to manage individuals as well as big teams of personnel.
