About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team in Nelspruit, responsible for providing exceptional customer service, technical support, and product maintenance. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service and that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly and organised customer service environment
- Handle client queries accurately in a professional manner
- Provide technical support via telephonic and counter services
- Perform mechanical and electronic testing and repair of all products
- Ensure all equipment repaired and tested meets original state and quality standard
- Log failures to provide feedback to Head Office’s Quality Department
- Assist Production and R&D departments in establishing failure trends and suggesting improvements
- Prepare technical/quality information for weekly meetings with Head Office
- Design and improve test jigs to enhance service capabilities
- Capture SAP and/or ZOHO/CRM transactions during service and repair processes
- Assist with ad-hoc duties, including internal sales, stores, training, OHS, updating of technical data, exhibitions, site support, and testing new products
- Manage optimal relationships with the client base, prioritising their needs
- Maintain high levels of neatness and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Respond to incoming technical support queries via live chat, calls, ZOHO Desk, email tickets, and other channels
- Ensure written communication meets departmental QA script quality standards
Requirements
- In possession of or studying towards N3/S2 (Electronic or Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering)
- Good knowledge and understanding of electronic concepts
- Displays good practical ability
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Formal education in Electronic, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor’s degree)
