Job Description

This is an opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end quality engineering across the software delivery lifecycle, contributing to high-performance, resilient, and production-ready systems. Key Responsibilities Quality Engineering & Strategy: Embed quality engineering practices across the SDLC (shift-left and shift-right), Translate testing strategy into scalable, engineering-led solutions, Define and implement automation, cloud testing, and AI-enabled QA standards Test Automation Engineering: Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks (UI, API, integration), Implement automation within CI/CD pipelines (regression, smoke, E2E), Optimise automation coverage, execution time, and reliability Cloud & AWS Testing: Validate applications deployed in AWS environments, Test cloud-native architectures (microservices, containers, serverless), Perform scalability, performance, and resilience testing AI-Driven Testing: Implement intelligent automation (self-healing scripts, predictive analytics), Apply risk-based testing and data-driven quality insights, Evaluate emerging AI testing tools and frameworks Test Design & Execution: Design comprehensive test scenarios across functional and non-functional areas, Drive defect identification, root cause analysis, and resolution support DevOps Integration: Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment validation and environment setup Test Data & Environment Engineering: Develop test data strategies and reusable datasets, Automate environment provisioning aligned to production Reporting & Insights: Build reporting dashboards on quality metrics and trends, Provide actionable insights to stakeholders Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor junior testers and contribute to team capability uplift, Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams Minimum Requirements Grade 12 along with a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 46 years in software testing / quality engineering Strong experience building test automation frameworks Proven AWS / cloud testing experience Experience in financial services (essential) Exposure to AI-driven testing tools (advantageous) Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (advantageous) Automation: Selenium (or similar frameworks) API Testing: Postman, SoapUI, Swagger Programming/Scripting for automation CI/CD & DevOps pipelines Version control: Git Test management: JIRA, Xray, HP Quality Centre Cloud: AWS (Azure exposure beneficial) Microservices, distributed systems, and APIs SQL and data validation Non-functional testing (performance, security, resilience)
