About the Role
The Head of IT will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s overall strategy and information technology strategy, working closely with various stakeholders to drive business objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Department, establish the firm’s information technology platform, and ensure alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the firm’s overall strategy and information technology strategy in collaboration with the Board, Excom, Senior Executives, Chief Operating Officer, and other HODs.
- Monitor the firm’s performance against targets and provide strategic guidance to Excom on information technology strategy and operations.
- Translate firm strategy into the business plan of the Department, coordinate strategic execution, and monitor performance against targets.
- Maintain a close perspective on external market developments and trends relevant to the Department, monitor competitors’ actions, and ensure appropriate tactics are adopted to adapt.
- Participate in decision-making processes of the firm.
- Provide advisory and administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer on matters related to information technology strategy, investment, and security.
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Department.
- Establish the firm’s information technology platform to deliver information, communication, and practice requirements effectively.
- Align information technology architecture with business goals, select and acquire systems, plan IT capital, and customise new technologies.
- Custodian of the firm’s information technology procedures and systems, responsible for documenting and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Maintain best practice information technology security compliance according to [ISO/other relevant standard/s] and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
