About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join their team in Johannesburg North. As a technical specialist, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and validation of credit risk models across various financial institutions. You will work on impairment modelling, scorecard development, and capital-related analytics, utilizing modern analytical tools such as Python, R, and SAS.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and enhance credit risk models across impairment and capital frameworks
- Contribute to independent model validation and review processes
- Support implementation, optimisation, and automation of models
- Work closely with cross-functional quantitative and analytics teams
Requirements
- Honours or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance)
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience within a quantitative credit risk or analytics role
- Solid grounding in statistical and analytical modelling techniques
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, R, or SAS
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business context
