Job Description
Tax & VAT Support
- Assist with compliance across all tax types.
- Check Income Tax Assessments and draft objections to SARS.
- Manage Provisional Tax returns and support indirect tax processes.
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Prepare, compile, and reconcile monthly input and output VAT reports.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all reconciliations before submission.
- Capture and process monthly accounting entries.
Submission & Compliance
- Complete and submit VAT returns timeously.
- Manage related payments and ensure full compliance with SARS requirements.
- Keep up to date with tax and VAT legislation
SARS Engagement
- Handle all SARS queries professionally and within expected turnaround times
- Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and tax risk management
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with finance colleagues to ensure overall accounting accuracy
- Participate in continuous process improvement
Skills & Experience
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise
- Strong verbal communication
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- A strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Experience working in complex organisational structures
- 3–5 years tax and VAT experience
