Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Initiation
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and critical milestones.
- Obtain required approvals and sign-offs prior to project execution.
Project Execution & Delivery
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
- Coordinate activities across technical, business, and operations teams.
- Track and report on project progress using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Manage project changes through formal change control processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports and dashboards.
- Act as a communication bridge between technical teams, business users, and executive sponsors.
- Manage client, partner, or vendor relationships where applicable.
Risk, Quality & Governance
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
- Ensure adherence to organizational project governance frameworks.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure deliverables meet defined standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and audit trails throughout the lifecycle.
Project Closure
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
- Ensure deliverables are formally accepted and signed off.
- Transition completed solutions to operations or support teams.
- Close financial accounts and archive project documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT/Project Management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing medium to large-scale projects (IT, operations, or business transformation).
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Master is preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Trello, or similar).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in budget management, forecasting, and resource planning.
