About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our clients Civil Construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects (roads, bulk earthworks, pipelines, water & sewer infrastructure, stormwater, concrete works, etc.).
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing using relevant estimating software.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Assess project risks and opportunities and incorporate them into pricing.
  • Develop preliminary construction programs and methodologies where required.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive and competitive submissions.
  • Prepare and compile complete tender submissions in line with client requirements.
  • Attend site visits and tender clarification meetings.
  • Maintain an up-to-date cost database and historical pricing records.
  • Provide handover documentation to the operations team upon successful award of projects.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in civil construction estimating.
  • Proven track record in pricing large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC or similar).
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CCS, Candy, BuildSmart, or similar).
