About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their mining company based in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial accounting, reporting and compliance processes to support accurate financial performance and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial accounting processes, including general ledger, reconciliations and month-end reporting in accordance with IFRS.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable statutory and tax requirements.
- Oversee cash flow, payments, fixed assets and vendor-related processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Assist with audits and maintain effective financial controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial performance.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- BCom Hons Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Pastel/SAGE and VIP Payroll/SAGE certification
- SAICA accreditation with Part 1 qualification is advantageous
- 3 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant within the mining industry
- Knowledge of IFRS and SARS regulations
- Experience in executive reporting and annual business planning
- Must be willing to travel
