About the Role

The Food & Beverage Manager at Bright Placements is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient service delivery, and strong financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily food and beverage operations (restaurant, bar, and dining experiences)
  • Ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Maintain high service standards and guest satisfaction at all times
  • Manage dining schedules, special events, and guest requirements
  • Guest Experience: Interact with guests to ensure exceptional service delivery
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally
  • Ensure personalized and memorable dining experiences
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise F&B staff
  • Manage staff rosters, attendance, and performance
  • Conduct regular training on service standards, hygiene, and product knowledge
  • Foster a positive and professional team environment
  • Stock Control & Procurement: Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory management
  • Minimize wastage and control costs effectively
  • Work closely with suppliers and ensure quality of products
  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, food costs, and beverage costs
  • Analyze sales and implement strategies to improve revenue
  • Ensure all POS systems and cash handling procedures are followed

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage management role
  • Previous experience in a lodge, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment
