About the Role
The Parts Outbound Team Leader role at our dealership in Midrand requires a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our outbound sales team, ensuring we achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets while maintaining exceptional customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the outbound sales/BDC team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets
- Monitor individual and team KPIs including call volumes, appointments booked, show rates, and conversions
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and call listening
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, discipline, and ongoing training
- Oversee outbound calling campaigns for new, pre-owned, service retention, and marketing initiatives
- Ensure all leads are contacted within agreed SLA timeframes
- Drive appointment setting for the new and used vehicle sales departments
- Ensure accurate lead allocation, follow-ups, and feedback to sales managers
- Compile and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
- Track campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Maintain CRM data accuracy and compliance with dealership processes
- Ensure adherence to POPIA, FICA (where applicable), and OEM standards
- Ensure a high standard of customer interaction and professionalism
- Handle escalated customer queries or complaints related to outbound interactions
- Align outbound messaging with dealership brand, promotions, and OEM guidelines
- Work closely with Sales Managers, Marketing, and F&I to maximise conversion opportunities
- Assist in planning outbound campaigns aligned to sales targets and marketing initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement of outbound processes and scripts
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) – essential
- 3+ years’ experience in outbound sales, call centre, or BDC environment within the motor industry
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a team leader or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of passenger vehicle sales processes
- Experience working with CRM systems and outbound dialler platforms
