About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg, where you will work with complex healthcare data to deliver meaningful insights and support business decision-making. As part of a forward-thinking, data-driven environment, you will contribute to profitability and risk analysis across medical schemes and contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse healthcare data to support actuarial and business decision-making
- Understand hospital pricing and tariffs to assist in developing Alternative Reimbursement Methods (ARM)
- Develop reports to monitor the effectiveness of ARM contracts
- Identify, track, and report on key risks related to hospital event costs
- Conduct profitability analysis by medical scheme and contract type
Requirements
- Education: Tertiary commercial qualification at NQF Level 7
- BSc in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
- Minimum of 3 years relevant healthcare experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Proven ability to identify trends in a structured and logical manner
