About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Camp Manager to join a prestigious safari operation in Kenya. As a seasoned hospitality professional with expertise in managing remote camps or lodges in Africa, you will confidently oversee all operational functions while maintaining the highest level of guest service. A genuine passion for the wilderness and conservation, as well as the ability to craft personalised experiences for an international clientele, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational functions of a remote camp or lodge in Kenya
  • Maintain the highest level of guest service
  • Develop and implement personalised experiences for international clients
  • Provide leadership and guidance to camp staff
  • Manage HR, procurement, stock control, and reporting
  • Handle crisis management and problem-solving
  • Perform technical maintenance on camp infrastructure including generators, plumbing, vehicle maintenance, and basic electrics

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in remote Camp or Lodge Management, preferably in East or Southern Africa
  • Relevant hospitality qualification or degree (advantageous)
  • Proven leadership capabilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong operational and logistical knowledge including HR, procurement, stock control, and reporting
  • Effective in crisis management and hands-on problem-solving
  • Technical understanding of camp infrastructure
  • Guest-oriented approach with the ability to deliver a high-end service

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
