About the Role
As a Financial Advisor at Smith Garb, you will be responsible for providing tailored financial advice to clients based on their needs and goals, while also managing long-term financial risks and advising on investment products and portfolio strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored financial advice to clients based on their needs and goals
- Assess and manage long-term financial risks, including retirement planning and wealth preservation
- Advise clients on investment products and portfolio strategies
- Recommend suitable insurance solutions (life, disability, income protection, etc.)
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships
- Generate new business through networking and referrals
- Maintain compliance with FAIS and regulatory requirements
- Achieve individual sales and commission targets
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Financial Advisor or in a similar role
- RE5 qualification (essential)
- Strong knowledge of investments, insurance, and long-term financial planning
- Understanding of long-term financial risks and client portfolio management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a commission-only environment
