Job Description
Responsibilities:

End-to-End Editing: Produce high-quality hype reels, match highlights, player profiles, and BTS content from raw and archival footage.

Motion Graphics: Design animations, text overlays, and VFX that elevate storytelling and reinforce brand identity.

Sound Design: Manage music selection, audio mixing, and SFX to ensure professional-grade sound across all outputs.

Platform Optimization: Tailor edits for specific formats (vertical, horizontal, square) to maximize platform-specific engagement.

Agile Delivery: Meet tight deadlines, particularly around match days, delivering real-time assets and quick-turn post-match highlights.

Collaboration: Work with the digital team to interpret briefs, iterate on feedback, and analyze performance data.

Asset Management: Maintain organized project files, libraries, and version control.
Minimum Requirements:

Experience: 4+ years as a Video Editor/Motion Designer, ideally within sports, media, or agency environments.

Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop). Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or Cinema 4D is a plus.

Storytelling Flair: A keen sense of pacing and rhythm; you know how to hook an audience in the first 3 seconds.

Social Fluency: Deep understanding of social trends, aspect ratios, and what makes sports content “shareable.”

Resilience: Ability to thrive under the pressure of non-negotiable game-day deadlines.

Cultural Fit: A passion for rugby and an intuitive understanding of the South African sporting landscape.

Education: A degree/diploma in Film, Animation, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
