Key Responsibilities
- Driving core system modernisation and legacy platform replacement
- Managing large, multi-stream programmes with budgets exceeding R55m
- Ensuring delivery aligns with business strategy, IT architecture and regulatory requirements
- Embedding strong governance, risk management and delivery discipline
- Enabling collaboration across technology teams, business units and external partners
Requirements
- Honours Degree (NQF 8) in a relevant field (Master’s preferred)
- Recognised Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
- 8–10 years’ experience leading complex IT or engineering projects
- 5+ years in a senior Technical Project Manager / Programme Manager / Delivery Lead role
- Experience within financial services, ideally short-term insurance
- Hands-on involvement in core insurance platform implementations (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens)
- Demonstrated success delivering legacy modernisation or core platform replatforming
