About the Role
The Foundry Foreman role is a critical position in our manufacturing department, responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality castings that meet customer requirements. As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for implementing and maintaining quality control systems, managing resources, and ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain quality control systems to minimize scrap rate, wastage of material, and downstream activities
- Manage and delegate responsibilities and duties to subordinates in accordance with the production plan, evaluating outcomes and initiating corrective action plans as required
- Communicate job instructions, motivate, appraise job results, and initiate training and staff development initiatives
- Coach, develop, counsel, and discipline employees as required
- Control material and human resources costs to accomplish financial objectives
- Reinforce a safe works standard and apply the principle of continuous improvement in all activities
Requirements
- Qualified Moulder with minimum of 8 years supervisory experience
- Good interpersonal and industrial relations skills
- Basic Health and Safety skills and knowledge of legal responsibilities
- Work instruction W1 FY 01; 06; MG 01
- Quality Policy SP 08; 12; 13; 14; 18
