About the Role
As a Night Auditor at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during late-night hours. Your primary focus will be on auditing daily financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and running end-of-day procedures in our Opera PMS system. You will also be expected to provide exceptional guest service, handle irregularities with calm professionalism, and support the day team with important overnight information.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome late-arriving guests and assist with check-ins and queries
- Be present and visible in guest areas and the front office throughout the night
- Ensure all hotel areas remain neat, secure, and guest-ready overnight
- Liaise with security and handle any irregularities with calm professionalism
- Audit daily financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and run end-of-day procedures (Opera PMS)
- Assist with wake-up calls, document handling, early check-outs, and breakfast pack coordination
- Communicate guest feedback and important overnight information to the day team
- Ensure all guest preferences and details are correctly captured in the system
- Support with guest gifting, complaints, or special requests as needed
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Hospitality qualification preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in a 4–5* hotel environment
- Familiarity with Opera, Micros POS, Asana and Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and good judgment under pressure
- Must be eligible to work in South Africa (valid work permit if not a citizen)
- Familiarity with Zululand and the surrounding areas is a plus
