Job Description
- Stock damage reporting
- Spreadsheets recording truck and forklifts repairs and maintenance etc.
- Ensuring the operational side of the business is operating at optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness, compliance and commitment to 1st class service delivery
- Inventory management – strict adherence to goods movement processes
- Receipting of stock, despatch, product labelling, repackaging, weekly cycle counts, damage control and reporting etc
- Warehouse, equipment and fleet maintenance
- Supervise warehouse staff – handling of product, housekeeping, repackaging, product labelling, training, safety gear
- Logistics and planning – daily load and route planning
- Delivery note and pod control
- Managing transport costs by negotiating with 3rd party transporters for best rates and services, vehicle and delivery tracking
- Ensure layout of warehouse is optimized for best possible use of space and access to product within compliance regulations
- Supervise the destuffing of containers, track container updates and communicate to all concerned, daily, weekly and monthly reporting of destuffing
- Quarterly stock take preparation and counts
