About the Role
As a Butler at our Luxury Lodge in Welgevorden, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that their needs are met during their stay, and creating memorable experiences. You will work closely with other members of the lodge staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory and ordering supplies from stores as needed
- Oversee special events or private dining experiences for guests
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring accuracy in order delivery and adherence to service standards
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
- Set tables and conduct service according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Conduct suite checks (AM and PM) ensuring mini bars are restocked and both still and sparkling water are replenished
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in dining areas, bar, and lounge area
- Collaborate with kitchen and other lodge staff to ensure smooth coordination of food and beverage service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a lodge or hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests and colleagues
- Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and building rapport with guests
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and maintain composure during busy service periods
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the Lodges operational needs
