Humansdorp: JUNIOR PASTURE MANAGER

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Pasture Manager to join our team in Humansdorp, where you will play a crucial role in the management of our pastures. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for learning and implementing best practices in pasture management, working closely with our experienced staff to ensure the health and productivity of our livestock.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of pasture management strategies
• Monitor and maintain pastures to optimize growth and productivity
• Develop and implement stockmanship skills to improve animal welfare and productivity
• Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and objectives
• Provide support to senior staff as needed

Requirements

• Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous Farming background essential
• Must be eager to learn more about pasture management
• Stockmanship skills
• Ability to speak Xhosa is advantageous
• Must be a team player

Qualifications

Formal education in agriculture or related field (Diploma/Degree) preferred.
