About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) space, is seeking a mature and experienced CA(SA) to step into a 6-month contract role, providing leadership and operational oversight to a team of approximately 30 individuals. The successful incumbent will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of investment reporting services while the business focuses on a critical project. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at a strategic level, engage with senior stakeholders, and influence operational excellence within a highly specialised environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight on the day-to-day delivery of investment reporting services to institutional clients
- Manage client escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Lead, support, and guide direct reports and the broader team on people management and performance
- Deliver monthly reporting to internal management committees and governance forums
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the investment reporting value chain
- Ensure operational efficiency and adherence to reporting standards and controls
Requirements
- Qualified CA(SA) – non-negotiable
- Minimum 8–10 years post-qualification experience
- Proven experience within pension fund audits, asset management, or fund administration
- Strong exposure to investment reporting environments
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- High attention to detail and governance mindset
