About the Role

The People Partner exists to act as a consultant to management and an advocate for employees, contributing to the business by aligning objectives with employee needs and providing support across multiple divisions. The role focuses on managing the full spectrum of HR functions, industrial relations, performance management, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage 2 to 4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within the Retail or FMCG industries.
  • Advise on disciplinary actions, draft charges, and represent the company at CCMA for Con/Arb hearings.
  • Facilitate the end-to-end hiring process including SETA assessments, CV screening, and finalizing employment contracts.
  • Partner with divisional management to analyze trends, improve morale, and assist with workforce and succession planning.
  • Manage payroll documentation and data entry via HRIS, including leave, attendance, and benefits administration.
  • Provide guidance on career development, coaching, and staff performance reviews.
  • Ensure all activities remain compliant with South African employment legislation.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within the Retail or FMCG industries.
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or Organisational Psychology (NOT MENTIONED IN ORIGINAL)

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Employment Legislation (OHSA, EEA, BCEA, LRA, NMWA) and experience in CCMA representation (NOT MENTIONED IN ORIGINAL)
