About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sports programme aligned with the school calendar.
• Coordinate seasonal sports codes (e.g. athletics, rugby, netball, soccer, cricket, hockey, swimming, etc.)
• Ensure inclusivity across all age groups and ability levels.
• Arrange inter-school fixtures, leagues, and tournaments.
• Organize internal sports events (sports days, inter-house competitions, fun days).
• Liaise with other schools, sports buddies, and associations.
• Appoint, manage, and support coaches (internal staff and external coaches).
• Ensure coaching and standards are maintained.
• Provide guidance, training opportunities, and performance feedback.
• Encourage participation and identify talented athletes.
• Support high-performance and athletes with pathways and exposure opportunities.
• Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Fully computer literate – MS Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
