Bedfordview: Non-Motor Claims Specialist

Minimum Requirements: Matric Certificate (essential) Regulatory Exam (RE) (highly advantageous) Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance (NQF 5) or Full Qualification NQF 4 (highly advantageous) Compliant with FAIS Fit and Proper requirements, with a track record of working independently Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience with the TIAL Operating System (System A) (highly advantageous) Experience in non-motor claims (preferred, not essential) Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience with a strong customer service focus Work experience with a licensed insurer (highly advantageous) Experience working with Brokers (pre-requisite) Key Competencies: Effective time management—ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong networking skills—able to collaborate with internal and external partners Confident decision-maker with minimal supervision Conflict management skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations Assertiveness, a solutions-oriented mindset, and persistence High energy, positive outlook, and drive Focused, self-disciplined, and deadline-driven Key Responsibilities: Handle non-motor claims efficiently from assessment to settlement Maintain high levels of customer service and manage client relationships Collaborate with brokers, service providers, and internal teams Manage claims independently in compliance with relevant regulations and company standards
