About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead all F&B operations at our luxury safari lodge in Bela Bela, South Africa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences that align with luxury standards in a high-end bush environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full food and beverage operation across the lodge
- Deliver exceptional guest dining experiences aligned with luxury standards
- Lead, train, and develop the F&B team
- Maintain high standards of service, hygiene, and presentation
- Work closely with the kitchen for seamless service delivery
- Manage stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Implement systems for waste control and stock management
- Develop beverage offerings including wine and bar service
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar F&B management role within luxury hospitality
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Solid understanding of stock control, costings, and budgeting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (e.g. hospitality degree or relevant certifications)
